I am a communications engineer based in Washington, DC.
Professionally, I specialize in optimizing satellite communications networks, improving both performance and
capacity, and analyzing existing satellite networks. I often think that this is the coolest job in the world.
In my spare time, I'm an amateur photographer and writer,
as well as a software developer. I frequently release small apps for my Android phone or my PC, so keep
an eye out for useful stuff. I am also an avid reader and sometimes play video games, although not as often
as I did when I was younger. I am married to an
Oracle engineer, hence the stylish hat in the top left.
I graduated in 2004 from the
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology,
located in scenic Terre Haute, Indiana, with a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics. I went on
to study Computer Science, with an
emphasis in Robotics, Sensing, Planning and Optimization, at
Duke University,
where I earned a Masters
degree in 2008. Since then, I have been working full-time at
RKF Engineering Solutions,
developing novel algorithms for beamforming, satellite network optimization, and satellite systems engineering
analysis.
